Badwell Ash History Society at the Suffolk Local History Council’s Societies Day – 2nd March 2019

Badwell Ash History Society’s display at the Suffolk Local History Council’s Societies Day

Two of members of The Badwell Ash History Society, Dave Steward and John Barber attended the Suffolk Local History Council’s Societies Day on the 2nd March 2019.

The Society mounted a small display where they displayed the work that had been carried out for the centenary of the end of WW1 in November 2018.  The members present spoke to a steady flow of people between the organised talks to discuss the work that the group had undertaken and were proposing to carry out.  Many people were particularly interested in the WW1 Trail around the village which identifies the homes of the soldiers who went to war in 1914.

The Day was well attended and both Dave and John thought it was a successful event worth repeating next year.
